Sanford Intensive Air - Non-injury incident

Team: Pilot, Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic, RT. No injuries reported. Patient on board. 

Description: 
	While returning to Sanford Hospital from Prince of Peace (Mitchell,
	SD) with a pediatric patient, the aircraft experienced a bird strike
	on the pilot's windscreen. The pilot made a precautionary landing
	approxmately 14 miles west of Sioux Falls on Maple Street. The
	Communication Center initiated the PAIP.  The patient and pediatric
	team were transported via Humboldt Ambulance Service to Children's
	Hospital without incident. Patient care was not compromised as a
	result of this incident.

Additional Info: 
	The aircraft was re-postioned to the hospital hangar and is currently
	undergoing replacement of the pilot's side windscreen.
