Geisinger Life Flight - Non-injury incident

Team: Pilot, Flight Nurse and Flight Paramedic. No injuries reported. Patient on board. 

	At 1220 hrs on 2/14/13 LifeFlight V came in contact with a flag on top
	of a crane used for construction on the campus of Geisinger Medical
	Center.  The pilot landed safely without incident on the rooftop
	helipad of the medical center.  The pilot executed an immediate shut
	down and the pt was safely unloaded. The aircraft sustained visible
	damage to the tip of one rotor blade and scratches on another rotor
	blade. A PAIP was initiated. All team members were contacted and

Additional Info: 
	The FAA and NTSB were immedicatly notified and are investigating. On
	2/15/13 the FAA and NTSB released the aircraft for
	repairs/inspections. Debriefings for the immediate crew and department
	have been completed.  A thorough internal root cause analysis
	investigation is underway. An external consulting firm is also
	reviewing the incident. Both investigations will be providing
	risk/operational mitigation reccomendations.  The aircraft has been
	transported to a Eurocopter Service Center for repairs and inspection.
