	Seattle, WA 98108

Team: Pilot, 2 flight nurses. No injuries reported. No patient.

While at cruise altitude, a popping noise was heard and a pressure
change felt, followed shortly thereafter by the left clamshell door
opening. The pilot notified the Communication Center of his intent to
make a precautionary landing at Paine Field (KPAE)and the
	precautionary landing PAIP was started.
Upon hover to land the right clamshell door opened. Otherwise the
	landing was uneventful.
A mechanic and the on-coming pilot drove to the airport. The door
latching mechanism was inspected and found to be undamaged. The
aircraft was test flown and returned to service.

Additional Info:
In the maintenance hangar the next day, the door latch mechanism was
compared to that in the backup aircraft and was found to be more
easily opened, using slight finger pressure. The latch mechanism was
replaced and all other aircraft were insepected.
