Children's Mercy Critical Care Transport - Non-injury incident

Weather: Clear. Not a factor

Team: Pilot, Co-Pilot, Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, EMT-P. No injuries reported. No patient. 

	Shortly after take off a mild jolt was felt when landing gear were
	being retracted. All operations and instruments remained normal. The
	flight was continued to Atkinson Memorial Airport in Pittsburg,
	Kansas. Upon pilot walk around significant damage was found to the
	lower quadrant of the radome (nose cone). The cause was an apparent
	bird strike.
	Operational control and the mechanic were notified. The aircraft was
	taken out of service and the mechanic went to Atkinson Memorial
	Airport. The medical crew and patient were transported by a local
	ground EMS service. 
	The radome was replaced and the aircraft was inspected and found to
	have no other damage. The aircraft was placed back into service
