	ASL CareFlight was on a night vision goggle (NVG) flight from
	Aberdeen, SD, to pick up a patient in Webster, SD. The destination was
	Meritcare Hospital in Fargo, ND. 
	At approximately 1:03 AM the helicopter was about four minutes out
	from Meritcare hospital when there was a loud bang.  It was then noted
	that the pilot's side of the windshield was no longer there and part
	of it had blown into the aft compartment. The pilot informed the
	medical crew that they were no longer going to Meritcare and that they
	had experienced a possible bird strike.
	The pilot advised Fargo tower they were diverting to the airport due
	to windshield damage.  The medic called Meritcare and informed them of
	the incident and requested an ambulance to the airport to transport
	the patient.  The pilot located the airport and landed safely at 1:05
	The pilot sustained a small cut to the upper lip during the incident.
